Open Call Visual Arts - GALERIE1565 Hamburg

Searching for new talents will be the focus of the new gallery's work and we will open our doors in February 2023. For our first group exhibition 'Reflective Emotions' + Gallery Opening we are looking for artists to show their work in our beautiful and unique venue. It's an incredibly exceptional. charming timbered house close to the harbour of Hamburg-Harburg.

We will also choose artitsts to show their work in solo shows for our program in 2023. We are looking for professional artists and art students. Submissions from all areas of visual arts (painting, photography, installation, sculpture, arts and crafts, new media) are welcome. The curating team will choose 15 finalists to show their work in the Gallerie's first group show in April 2023. Meanwhile a selected jury will choose 3 of them for a solo show. A separate exhibition agreement will be concluded with the exhibiting artists (for those 3) and an expense allowance will be paid.

• Groupshow running: April + May 2023
• Solo show: upon agreement from May on

+ Who can apply?
• Professional artists and art students are allowed to submit
• Every artist can apply, there is no age limit

+ What do you have to submit?
• Max. 2 proposals for group show (digital), short description and information about size and technique
• Text of your concept, your work as an artist (max A4). Will be shown on our website • Your CV and a list of your past excibitions (if existing) • Portfolio with details of each work (name, year, technique, sizes)
