PERFORM PERFORM is a newly initiated festival which is dedicated to contemporary
performative praxis and combines theoretical and practical aspects of performance
art. It will take place on two days in August 2016 in Düdingen (Fribourg, Switzerland).

The aim of the festival PERFORM PERFORM is to create a platform for experimentation
and exchange for the local performance scene, and to think - by using an interdisciplinary
approach - performative art afresh. Hence, on the one hand, the possibility of exchange
between experts and emerging artists is being created, on the other hand the limits of
the medium performance are being tested. Within PERFORM PERFORM performance
will be understood as a contemporary medium of expression and a bridge between different
disciplines ( performance / music, performance / language, performance / theater,
performance / dance, performance / theory ). The heterogeneous approaches towards performance
of each artistic work as well as the focus on interdisciplinarity are contributing
to the festivals character.

HOW DO WE SUPPORT THE
PERFORMERS / ARTISTS ?
- An opportunity for national and international artists to
present their work to a wider audience in an unique setting
- CHF 300.- per performance ( + max CHF 200.- for production
and travelling costs )
- Accommodation in Guin / Düdingen ( 27th - 28th of August
2016 ), as well as 3 drinks and 2 meals for free
- Photo documentation
- PERFORM PERFORM ensures a broad communication
- PERFORM PERFORM will cover as many technical requirements
as possible
- Free participation at the special program on Sunday,
28th of August : brunch, workshop and round table

WHAT WE EXPECT :
- Creation of a new performance / performative project
( short as well as long duration performances possible )
- Description of the performance, 2’000 - 4’000 characters
( including necessary facts about duration, desired location,
technical needs etc )
- Evt. photography / video / sketches...
- CV ( short biography, 500 characters )
- Portfolio / website
- Binding participation at both days :
