Funded by The German Federal Culture Foundation (Kulturstiftung des Bundes) a total of 54 five-month fellowships will be awarded between 2019 and 2022 for a residency at an artistic-technical research center, the ACADEMY FOR_THEATER_AND_DIGITALITY.

For the fifth research period (September 01, 2021 to January 31, 2022)the application period ends on October 4th, 2020 (23:59 CEST).

The call for application is aimed at artists, technicians and postgraduate fellows who have a keen interest in researching artistic-technical contexts in digital narratives in theatrical spaces and their practical implementation. Expected are personalities who want to research and work on digital methods (e.g. motion capturing, coding, MR, AR, VR, robotics, computer science, sound, film, interaction design etc.). The fellowships are intended to give theater professionals and technicians the opportunity to start planned research projects, to realize designs and to continue or complete their ongoing projects. The fellowship is intended to enable the fellows to concentrate on their artistic / artistic-technical / technical-artistic work without economic or material constraints.

The Scholarship
The scholarship is a residency scholarship, two thirds of the five-month scholarship period (100 calendar days) are to be spent at the Academy in Dortmund.
