ARTLAKE FESTIVAL is now accepting proposals for our 2019 edition in August.


We are devoted to presenting artists from all backgrounds, generations, dispositions and disciplines. We focus on artists and works that are not traditionally found in many commercial spaces, blurring the line between the fields of visual art, performance art, literature, debate and film.

This years Artlake festival is dedicated to the overarching topic „FREE THE FUTURE“ — submitted projects should engage with it with different artistic or discursive approaches and interpretations. Formats may range from performance, exhibition, installation, lecture, debate to workshops and many more.

FREE THE FUTURE The change of the present is only possible from the perspective of the future and the course for tomorrow is set in the here and now. In which world do we want to live in the future? How can we create images and visions of a bright, inclusive future? How can we shake off structures and define utopias of the present as spaces of the possible of tomorrow?

Every application should contain the following:
1. Detailed written outline of each project including pictures (if available)
2. Cost calculation
3. Technical requirements
4. Short portfolio and/or references of previous realized projects

The Artlake Festival is a self-organized, independent festival of culture and arts and accordingly limited in its financial resources. Although all contributions to the festival are intended to be refunded fairly, we would like to draw your attention to these circumstance in the course of your application.
