Die Künstlerstadt Kalbe vergibt im Rahmen des 9. Internationalen Sommercampus zwei- bis vierwöchige Stipendien an freischaffende Künstler*innen und Studierende aus den Bereichen Bildende Kunst, Literatur, Musik, Fotografie, Darstellende Künste, Film oder interdisziplinärer Projekte. Gemäß dem Konzept der sozialen Skulptur nach Joseph Beuys – dessen 100-jähriges Jubiläum in diesem Jahr gefeiert wird – versteht sich die Künstlerstadt Kalbe als ein Ort, an dem die schöpferische Kraft der Kunst entfaltet werden soll, um eine freie, nachhaltige und lebenswerte Gesellschaft aufzubauen. Folgenden Fragestellungen möchten wir uns gemeinsam mit euch im diesjährigen Sommercampus stellen: Was haben unser Handeln, unser Denken und Fühlen mit Plastik zu tun? Kann wahre Revolution nur in der Kunst entstehen? Ist Gegenwart eine Kategorie der Kunst? Und sind das überhaupt die richtigen Fragen?

Das Stipendium umfasst: • kostenlose Unterkunft und Arbeitsräume • wöchentliche Atelier-Rundgänge • Reisekostenpauschale für Visa-Antragsteller*innen mit Wohnsitz außerhalb Deutschlands, ggfs. Zuschlag zur Visagebühr • Fahrradnutzung vor Ort • Persönliche Ansprechperson aus Kalbe Erforderliche Bewerbungsunterlagen: • vollständig ausgefüllter Bewerbungsbogen • Lebenslauf • ein Portfolio mit max. 10 Belegen der Arbeit (keine Originale!) • Kopie der aktuellen Immatrikulations-bescheinigung • ein Empfehlungsschreiben eines*r Professor*in (falls noch Studie¬rende*r) Bewerbungsschluss: 31. +++++++ Künstlerstadt Kalbe offers a scholarship during the 9th International Summercampus. International artists and art students of all directions (fine arts, literature, drama, music, film, photography, media art, performance, interdis-ciplinary projects) are invited to live and work in Kalbe. In accordance with the concept of a social plastic referring to Joseph Beuys - whose 100th anniversary is being celebrated this year - Künstlerstadt Kalbe sees itself as a place where the creative power of art is to be unleashed in order to build a free, sustainable and liveable society. We would like to ask ourselves the following questions together with you in this year's summer campus: What do our actions, thinking and feeling have to do with plastic? Is art the only revolutionary force? Is the present a category of art? And are these even the right questions? The scholarship includes: • housing and ateliers free of charge • weekly studio tours • travel allowance for scholarship holders living outside of Germany and, if necessary, a visa fee allowance • use of bicycle • personal contact person from Kalbe The required application documents include: • com¬pleted application form • curriculum vitae • portfolio with a maximum of 10 work samples (no originals!) • copy of the current certificate of enrolment • a letter of recommendation from a professor (if still a student) Deadline for application: 31st May 2021
