CALL FOR ENTRIES Deadline: March, 31, 2017

The Institute for Art and Innovation e.V. invites artists and cultural actors of all areas to apply with their work to the Social Art Award 2017. Applications must be submitted till March 31, 2017.

  Social Art is any artistic expression that aims at creating social impact and change.

Artists are visionaries, utopists, agents for change, with the ability to affect society by creating emotionally captivating experiences. Thus, the goal of the Social Art Award is to invigorate the rise of social art. We need more people to create impact and to inspire change. Furthermore, the award aims at strengthening the recognition of social artists and the value of their work. Hence, it cherishes the importance of social art for society.

What’s in for you?
1.000 Euro in prize money. An exhibition in Berlin, Germany. All applicants receive 2 printed copies, plus the digital version of the Social Art book.

Who can apply?
All artists and cultural actors can apply. There are no restrictions based on gender, training or nationality.

How to apply?
Submit your contribution with one image, a short description and a statement, how your work is related to social art. Apply now!

The registration fee is 50.00 EUR for each work. If you submit two works it is 100.00 EUR etc. The reduced registration fee is 25.00 EUR for each work. If you submit two works it is 50.00 EUR etc.
Citizens of eligible countries pay 0 EUR – they participate free of charge!

THE SELECTION PROCESS
The jury identifies the best contributions through a three-stage selection process including a shortlist of 10 nominees plus 2 wild cards based on public online voting.

THE INSTITUTE
The Institute for Art and Innovation e.V. is a multidisciplinary institute that explores and promotes art and innovation as a means to foster social impact and change. The Institute is an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization based in Berlin, Germany.
