residenXies. Internationale Residenzen am HochX München Juni/Juli 2023

Das HochX ist eine Spielstätte für Theater und Live Art in München, die 2021 mit dem Theaterpreis des Bundes ausgezeichnet wurde. Mit dem Preisgeld realisiert das HochX im Sommer 2023 das internationale Residenz- Programm residenXies. Wir laden zwei Tandems aus lokalen und internationalen Künstler*innen der freien darstellenden Künste für drei Wochen nach München ein. Unser Ziel ist es, Raum für Recherche und künstlerischen Austausch über Landes- und Genregrenzen hinweg zu bieten. Es gibt keine thematische Vorgabe, nur den Auftrag zur gemeinsamen künstlerischen Forschung.

Ihr seid Künstler*innen aus München und dem Ausland und würdet gerne gemeinsam für drei Wochen in München experimentieren und erste Schritte auf dem Weg zu einer gemeinsamen Projektarbeit gehen? Dann bewerbt Euch zusammen auf residenXies! Eine Bewerbung ist ausschließlich gemeinsam möglich; maximal 6 Personen aus mindestens zwei Teams können teilnehmen. residenXies findet vom 26. Juni bis 16. Juli 2023 am HochX München statt. Wir stellen euch einen Proberaum zur Verfügung sowie vom 10. bis zum 16. Juli 2023 den Bühnenraum des HochX. Wir zahlen zudem Fahrtkosten, Unterkunft und eine Aufwandsentschädigung von 600 € pro Person pro Woche. Nach Bedarf übernehmen wir auch Materialkosten in Höhe von max. 2000 € und die technische Betreuung auf der Bühne. Die Residenz ist thematisch offen und prozessorientiert; allerdings wünschen wir uns, dass am letzten Wochenende der Residenz erste Arbeitsergebnisse der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht werden. Die Form – z.B. Präsentation, Showing oder Workshop – ist dabei frei wählbar.

Eine Residenz beinhaltet folgende Leistungen:
• Arbeitsstudio / Proberaum von mind. 100 m2 für 3 Wochen
• 1 Woche Bühnenzeit (gemeinsam mit dem zweiten Tandem)
• Aufwandsentschädigung: 600€ / Woche pro Person
• Die Künstler*innen aus dem Ausland erhalten zusätzlich zur Aufwandsentschädigung Tagegeld
• Übernahme von Fahrt- und Visumskosten sowie Unterkunft für Künstler*innen aus dem Ausland für 3 Wochen
• Technische Unterstützung auf der Bühne des HochX (nach Absprache und Verfügbarkeit)
• Showing am 15.7. /16.7. Infos zur Bewerbung

Für wen: In München ansässige und internationale Künstler*innen, die sich gemeinsam als Team bewerben. Wir haben Platz für insgesamt zwei Tandems. Wann: 26.6. – 16.7. 2023 (25.6. und 17.7. sind die An- und Abreisetage). Bedingung für die Bewerbung ist, dass ihr den gesamten Zeitraum teilnehmen könnt. Ort: München Umfang der Bewerbung Für die Bewerbung bitten wir um ein kurzes Motivationsschreiben mit einer Skizze des gemeinsamen künstlerischen Vorhabens (max. 2 Seiten), sowie eine Kurzbiografie aller Beteiligten mit Informationen zu bisherigen künstlerischen Arbeiten. Alternativ könnt ihr auch ein bis zu 3-minütiges Video machen, in dem Ihr Euer gemeinsames Vorhaben und die Motivation für die Zusammenarbeit beschreibt. Die Bewerbungen können in deutscher oder englischer Sprache eingereicht werden. ********************************************************************* Open Call for residenXies International residency program at HochX Munich in June/July 2023 The HochX is a venue for theater and live art in Munich, which was awarded the Theaterpreis des Bundes in 2021. With the prize money, HochX will offer an international residency program called residenXies in summer 2023. We aim to provide a framework that empowers artists from Munich and abroad to connect with one another, work together to collaborate on a project idea for the performing arts. Providing space and resources for research and artistic exchange across borders and artistic genres. Therefor we invite two tandems of local and international artists to collaborate in Munich for three weeks. Up to 6 artists per tandem can collectively apply for any new artistic collaboration they intend to create together. There is no set theme for the collaboration. You are artists from Munich and abroad and would like to experiment together for three weeks and take the first steps towards a joint project work? Then apply together for residenXies! Only joint applications are possible; a maximum of 6 people from at least two teams can participate. residenXies will take place from June 26 to July 16, 2023 at HochX Munich. We will provide you with a rehearsal space for 3 weeks. You will also be able to use the HochX stage from July 10 to July 16, 2023. We pay travel expenses, provide accommodation and an expense allowance of 600 € per person per week. If required, we will also cover material costs of max. 2000 € and technical support on stage. The residency is open to any topics and forms of projects and is focussing more on the process than a final product. However, we would like the first results of the 3 week collaboration to be made available to the public on the last weekend of the residency. The form – e.g. presentation, try out or workshop - can be chosen freely. A residency includes the following: • studio space of at least 100 sqm for 3 weeks • 1 week stage time (shared time with the team of the second tandem) • grant allowance: 600€ / week per participating artist (Munich based and international) • in addition to the allowance, the artists from abroad will receive a daily allowance • travel and visa costs (for international artists) • local accommodation (for international artists for 3 weeks) • technical support on the stage (by arrangement and depending on availability) • public showing on 15.7. /16.7. Information about the application Who can apply: Munich-based and international artists* applying together as a team of max. 6 people. We have space for a total of two tandems. When: 26.6. - 16.7. 2023 (25.6. and 17.7. are the arrival and departure days). Condition for the application is that you can participate the whole period. Place: Munich Scope of the application For the application we ask for a short letter of motivation with a sketch of the joint artistic project (max. 2 pages), as well as a short biography of all participants with information about previous artistic works. Alternatively, you can also make a video of up to 3 minutes in which you describe your joint project and the motivation for the collaboration. Applications can be submitted in German or English.
