"CS under 30" 2023

CS under 30 ist ein Open Call für Aufführungen von Konzert-Projekten im Carinthischen Sommer 2023 und richtet sich an Künstler*innen oder Ensembles im Alter unter 30 Jahren aus den EU-Mitgliedstaaten und den EFTA-Ländern. Die Aufführungen des/der Sieger-Projekte/s finden im Festival Carinthischer Sommer 2023 und im Mittelfest 2023 in Cividale del Friuli statt.

Die Idee ist, die Vielfalt und Qualität des jungen Kunst- und Musikschaffens in Europa zu fördern und zu präsentieren. Der Carinthische Sommer in Kärnten und das Mittelfest im friulanischen Cividale sehen es als ihre Aufgabe an, mit dieser Kooperation die kulturelle Vielfalt in der Alpen-Adria-Region und darüber hinaus zu stärken und Menschen aus aller Welt einzuladen, ihre Festivals zu besuchen.

Der Carinthische Sommer gewährt dem von der Jury ausgewählten Siegerprojekt sowie dem Gast-Projekt des Mittelfestes eine finanzielle Unterstützung bis zu einem Höchstbetrag von EUR 4.000,- einschließlich aller gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen Sozialabgaben und Steuern sowie der Kosten für die An- und Abreise zum Aufführungsort. Bühne, Instrumentarium (nach Absprache), Bühnentechnik und Techniker werden vom Carinthischen Sommer gemäß der als Download zur Verfügung gestellten technischen Ausstattung zur Verfügung gestellt.

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you! We are excited to announce that our call for submissions CS under 30 is open now! Submit your music projects!

What are we seeking for? Dynamic and creative music projects that showcase your musical abilities. The winning projects will have the great opportunity to be part of the Carinthian Summer Music Festival 2023.

What is it all about? CS under 30, which takes place for the second time this year, is a cross-border project by Mittelfest and the Carinthian Summer Music Festival addressing artists under 30 years of age.

Who can apply?
The call for submissions is open to musicians and ensembles between the ages of 18 and 30 resident in the European Union or in one the EFTA states.

How to apply?
The submission deadline for CS under 30 is March 15th, 2023 and February 15th, 2023 for the Friulian equivalent Mittelyoung. Artists and ensembles can either submit their projects to one of the two formats or to both festivals. They will be curated in both countries by jurors under the age of 30.

The winning project of CS under 30 as well as a music contribution of Mittelyoung will be presented on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 at 7.30 p.m. at the Bambergsaal in Villach/Austria as part of the Carinthian Summer Music Festival 2023.
