Der Performance Garten sucht für seine zehnte Ausgabe künstlerische Arbeiten, die das Thema »ending(s)« auf unterschiedliche Weise performativ verhandeln. In ihrer Jubiläumsausgabe möchte die Veranstaltung das allgegenwärtige Motiv des »Endes« in seinen pluralen Lesarten und Bedeutungsebenen beleuchten: Inwiefern kann ein Ende auf einen unwiederbringlichen Verlust, einen Ausgang oder Abschluss, hinweisen, inwiefern können ihm Räume und Möglichkeiten für Neues folgen? Welche Bedeutungen trägt diese Ambivalenz oder Pluralität des »Endes« auf persönlicher Ebene sowie angesichts sozio-ökologischer Phänomene wie Artensterben und Extraktivismen? Der Aufruf richtet sich an Nachwuchskünstler:innen und erfahrene Künstler:innen gleichermaßen. Willkommen sind performative Arbeiten aller künstlerischen Disziplinen und Medialitäten. Den Künstler:innen wird eine Aufwandsentschädigung sowie ggf. eine Reisekostenpauschale für An- und Abreise gezahlt. Übernachtungskosten können nicht übernommen werden.

Performance Garten is seeking artistic works for its 10th edition that performatively negotiate the theme of »ending(s« in different ways. In its anniversary edition, the event aims to shed light on the ubiquitous motif of »ending(s)« in its pluralistic interpretations and levels of meaning: to what extent can an ending point towards an irretrievable loss, an outcome, or a conclusion, and to what extent can it lead to spaces and possibilities for the new? What meanings does this ambivalence or plurality of »ending(s)« carry on a personal level as well as in the face of socio-ecological phenomena such as species extinction and extractivism? The call is directed towards emerging artists and experienced artists alike. Performative works of all artistic disciplines and media are welcome. The artists will be paid an expense allowance and, in the case of a live performance, a travel allowance for arrival and departure. Accommodation costs cannot be covered.
