Frankfurt Moves! 2025 artist residency

Open Call: Frankfurt Moves! artist residency The Frankfurt LAB in cooperation with the foundation KfW Stiftung are happy to invite four emerging artists from the performing arts sector (performance, dance, theatre, music), who were trained in Africa, Asia, Latin America or the MENA region to apply for a four-week stay in Frankfurt, a metropolis in the heart of Europe. Frankfurt Moves! is an initiative by KfW Stiftung to promote artistic exchange and intercultural dialogue. The residency programme in cooperation with Frankfurt LAB - a production space for rehearsing and performing experimental works in the fields of the performing arts and contemporary music - promotes international emerging artists in the performing arts. From 21. July to 17. August 2025 the artists in residence will be able to use the professional rehearsal spaces of the Frankfurt LAB to work on a new project or to conduct research. The benefits include a fee, costs for documentation, expenses for travel and accommodation (for up to two persons) as well as networking opportunities. At the end of the residency, it will be possible to present the results publicly. The application form requests the applicants provide details about the project, their motivation for the application and video links to recent work. An additional project description can be entered in PDF form (max. 2 pages). There is no application fee.
